Joel Nichols
Coach Joel Nichols truly embodies what it means to have Golden Bear pride and to be “bleeding gold.” His passion for TVHS runs deep — not just in wins and losses, but in his unwavering commitment to our students, our school, and our community. Golden Bear pride is about loyalty, toughness, integrity, and showing up every single day with purpose. Coach Nichols lives that standard and models it for our players and staff.
Coach Nichols has 15 years of coaching experience — including 11 seasons on the TVHS coaching staff and the last 3 years serving as Associate Head Coach — he understands the tradition, expectations, and responsibility that come with representing the Golden Bears. His long-standing commitment to the program reflects someone who doesn’t just coach here, but believes in what TVHS stands for.
Beyond the field, Coach Nichols is a dedicated educator at TVHS who prioritizes the growth of the whole student-athlete. His positive vision centers on developing young men of character, accountability, and resilience — preparing them for success in the classroom, in competition, and in life. His strong ties to the Golden Bear community further highlight his investment in building something that lasts.
